Dentistry for Kids

Dr. Fordham loves kids (he has six of his own) and has lots of experience working with them.  When you bring your son or daughter to the office don’t be surprised if they have a GREAT time.

Give your kids a beautiful smile! Children should be seen by a dentist beginning as early as age one. This not only introduces children to the dental sights and sounds, but makes it a more pleasurable experience when dental procedures are needed. It is also the first step in proper oral health to teach children good oral hygiene techniques through our integrated team of dentists and dental hygienists. We offer dentistry in a warm and friendly environment to children of all ages.

Not only will they get excellent treatment, they will also be educated on oral health care.  To make it as fun as possible Dr. Fordham has a tendency to tell jokes and get kids laughing.  He makes sure they always leave with a toy from his treasure box and if they have no cavities they can enter their name in The No Cavity Club drawing (for BIG prizes).

Highly effective in preventing decay on the biting surfaces of your chewing teeth, sealants are a simple procedure in which a tooth-colored acrylic "coating" is painted onto the surface of the tooth. This effectively "seals" the deep grooves acting as a barrier, protecting enamel from plaque and acids.

Sealants protect the depressions and grooves of your teeth from food particles and plaque that brushing and flossing can't reach.

Easy to apply, sealants take only a few minutes to seal each tooth. Sealants hold up well under the force of normal chewing and can last several years before a reapplication is needed.

Children and adults can benefit from sealants in the fight against tooth decay.

At Peninsula Family Dental we treat patients of all ages and  look forward to meeting your kids!
